Baking for Charity

Recently, my church had a fundraiser for the Ghana Village School Project and to raise money, they sold oatmeal coconut chocolate chip cookies in jars. Well, the dry cookie mix.

Each jar came with a recipe and instructions on how to bake the cookies and I finally decided to try it today. All I had to do was add a large egg, a 1/4 cup of butter and a 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract – easy peasy! I ended up making fourteen cookies and ate two so now it’s a perfect dozen. There’s really no better way to welcome the month of October than with a batch of warm cookies.

Happy Saturday!
